Visitors!

     Aside from having a sweet little newborn around, the best part about this baby arriving has been all of the visitors! We have been SOOO blessed that our family has been able to come and help us welcome baby Simon into our family.
     Addie has been the ideal new sister to her little brother, but she has been getting bored with us staying indoors so much. She was THRILLED to have both sets of grandparents, her aunt, cousins, and even her favorite dog rusty come to visit and keep her entertained. I seriously am just crazy grateful that everyone made such an effort to come up and see us.
     Major props go to my mom for coming up even before the baby was born so that someone could be here in case we needed to leave in a hurry and it was awkward timing for a friend to watch Addie. I am SUPER happy and grateful that she did, because that’s exactly what happened for both of our trips to L&D. Addie had a total blast with my mom for the 5 days she was here, I do believe they’re bffs now. It was fun spending time with my mom and sharing in the craze and hype that comes when a new baby arrives.

     Soon after my mom left, my sister and her kids came up for a 2 day visit. Addie absolutely adores her cousins and was totally thrilled to see them and have her favorite people around to play with. She won’t stop talking about her cousins and her Aunt Becky, it’s super cute.

All of us went down to the big park at Lake Washington to play at the park, chase ducks, and walk around the lake. This was Simon’s first outing and he seemed to quite like it :)

This next pic is probably my favorite. Just look at how chummy Addie is with her cousins!

Becky was super duper nice (and brave) and took all 5 kids to the beach to play for a day. I can’t express how much I appreciated this! Addie had just SO much fun and I can’t imagine that it was too easy to keep track of so many kids. Three cheers for Becky!

Our last set of visitors to come were Sam’s parents Jack and Sherry. They are super busy people, so we really appreciated them taking the time to come up to visit. They even brought their dog Rusty and Addie had tons of fun playing with her doggy pal for a few days.

Super huge thanks to our wonderful family for coming to see us and help us out! We are looking forward to the next couple weeks when we’ll get to see some of our siblings that we haven’t seen in a long time. Most everyone agrees that spending time with family is the best time you can have, and we’re pretty lucky to have the best family ever!
