Sam’s parents bought a miniature australian shepherd puppy when Addie was a baby. His name is Rusty and they have been best friends since they met. Here’s Addie back in 2009 lovin’ on him.
She must ask at least twice daily when we get to go see Rusty next. She just loves him so much and he always gets way excited to see her too.
Imagine Addie’s complete and utter surprise and happiness when we visited Sam’s parents in January and they have bought a SECOND puppy! This one’s name is Tazzy and Addie loves her to death too. Rusty and Tazzy are the first to be mentioned each night as she says her own bed time prayers.
Tazzy is about Simon’s age now and they totally bonded during our last trip down. With Addie, Tazzy is crazy and jumpy and very hyper-puppy-ish. We were all amazed at how she instantly calmed down and was SOOO soft and gentle when we put Simon on the floor next to her. I think that Addie might have to just stick with Rusty as her BFF, because Simon seems to have dibs on Tazzy.
