Best week EVER!!!

      So we're back! I'm going to try to do a quick summary and post only a few pics on here. I posted our whole album on my myspace page for now, so check them out! I'll put them on theburkmans.com when I have more time.
       So about the cruise- for real, nothing could replace the Alaskan cruise we went on for our honeymoon, but this was by far the best vacation of my life. The cruise ship was amazing. I think that princess had slightly better food, but Royal Caribbean's entertainment made the princess cruise shows look like a locally run roadshow. There was an amazing evening show every night and fun events and excursions during the day, it was fantastic.
      Sunday and Monday we were at sea all day. We laid out on the deck and read for a few hours and got pretty burnt unexpectedly. The next four days were our excursion days.


      On Tuesday, we went to cozumel and spent the first half of the day playing out in the middle of the jungle and swimming in the sacred freshwater lake of the mayans, then spent the second half of the day swimming with dolphins (we actually got to ride them even!). That was by far the coolest day of my life. We got a video of us riding the dolphins and playing with them, so we'll post it as soon as we get it in the right format.



      On Wednesday, we were in Roatan Honduras where we went snuba diving. That was incredible... it was so cool to be so free under the water and see all of the sea life up close and personal. My weight belt fell off unexpectedly and I shot up to the surface rather out of control, but other than that- it was an ideal experience.






      On Thursday we went to Costa Maya and went swimming on the white sand/coral beaches. Sam got stung by a sea urchin which seemed to smart pretty badly at first, but was okay after a while. That was our most laid back day, just hanging out at the beautiful beach and seeing the fishing villages.
      On Friday, we took an all day trip to see the Mayan village of Chichen Itza. Holy crap was that amazing. It's the largest mayan city that is still more or less intact. Despite the ridiculous heat, we LOVED being able to see such an amazing historical site.



      On Saturday we were back out at sea and on our way home. We were actually pretty bummed when we realized that we didn't get to go home to Provo to see all of our friends, but instead are going back to Houston to our new "home". It sure doesn't feel like home yet, but I guess it'll take a few weeks. We want you all to know that we love you so much and really miss you and are thinking about you.
